System Engineer

The System Engineer is tasked with designing, implementing, and maintaining computer systems and networks within an organization. They collaborate with cross-functional teams to assess technological requirements, develop solutions, and ensure the overall efficiency and reliability of the systems. The System Engineer plays a critical role in optimizing system performance, resolving technical issues, and supporting the organization's IT infrastructure.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Design, configure, and deploy computer systems and networks based on organizational needs and requirements.

  • Install and maintain operating systems, software applications, and hardware components.

  • Monitor system performance and conduct regular maintenance to ensure optimal functionality and security.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and network issues in a timely manner.

  • Collaborate with IT teams and end-users to provide technical support and resolve user-related technical problems.

  • Conduct system upgrades and updates to enhance system performance and security.

  • Create and maintain system documentation, including configurations, procedures, and user manuals.

  • Implement and enforce IT policies, standards, and procedures to ensure compliance and data security.

  • Stay updated on emerging technologies and industry trends to recommend system improvements and enhancements.

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

  • Proficiency in configuring and troubleshooting hardware, software, and network components.

  • Familiarity with security frameworks and protocols.

  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

  • Industry certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer, Cisco Certified Network Professional) are a plus.
